Mighty Tripod Acting Studio is thrilled to reconnect with Los Angeles actor, producer, and teacher, Sean Cook. He has been with us before as a guest instructor, and we are very fortunate to have him back for his dynamic workshop about auditioning for Co-Star roles.
This is essential training, especially considering that Washington recently increased its annual film incentive package, which will mean more audition opportunities for these kinds of jobs. Needless to say, David & Angela highly recommend this virtual workshop. Read on for more information, and register at the bottom of this page.
"In this workshop actors will prepare and present a two- or three-page scene for a co-star role from a current television series. Workshop materials will be provided and available to actors as soon as they register for the date. All actors will present their work be offered immediate feedback.
As a group we will begin to recognize, define, and utilize key techniques for a successful audition. Appropriate terms and techniques might include focal points, framing, lighting, vocal energy, moment before the action, allowing the listening, non-verbal reactions as they relate to our “other,” serve the story, the “final” thought or button.
Time permitting, actors will be given an under-five audition (characters with less than five lines) to prepare and present as a finale wherein they incorporate previously encountered terms and techniques.
Finally, UPROARIOUS APPLAUSE! I’m so excited to meet you and looking forward to it MIGHTILY."
