virtual training?

Yes!
We offer video instruction for beginning – advanced actors. The courses are fun, affordable, and packed with information and “wisdom nuggets” from David & Angela. And! You can go at your own pace. Click here for the Courses page. We also offer virtual instruction via video conference for intermediate – advanced actors. Head here to learn about those programs.

acting for the camera classes?

Yes!
We offer 5 week courses for actors of all experience levels. We currently offer Camera 1 (Auditioning/Actor Biz), Camera 2 (Scene Study), Camera 3 (Advanced Scene Study), and Camera 4 (On-Going). Courses are typically 5 weeks in length,  and run from 6:30pm-9:30pm at our studio in Georgetown (300 South Bennett Street, Seattle WA 98108). We also offer one-day workshops.

classes for kids?

YES! Angela DiMarco, the Director of Mighty Tripod Acting Studio’s Youth Division, offers YOUTH (9-12) and TEEN (13-18) workshops on the last Sunday of each month. The focus changes every month, from Scene Study, to How to Build a Character, Commercial Auditioning, Monologues and more! To stay posted on upcoming workshops you should sign up for the youth/teen newsletter.

private actor coaching?

Yes, both David and Angela offer private coaching for all actors. You can set up a session for career counseling, 6 months goals, auditions, agent interview prep, scene study, theatre auditions, and more.

discounts?

Yes! If you have taken Camera 1, you will receive 10% off of all subsequent 5 week courses. We will also arrange payment plans in some circumstances.

self-tapes?

Yes, both Angela and David can help you with your audition. Price varies from $50-$75 depending on the length of your script and total time spent. At Mighty Tripod we make sure your submission looks professional, and the coaching we provide coaching brings out your best. Don’t get stressed trying to set things up at home, we are here to make your opportunity fun, easy, and high quality!

headshots?

Yes! David S. Hogan launched David Scott Hogan Photography in 2018. Are your current headshots not getting you in the door? Have you never had professional headshots taken? David makes actors feel comfortable and confident, while capturing their essence. He offers different packages, so you can pick which one fits your needs. vo or singing?

No, at this time we do not offer coaching of this kind. There are several great establishments in the NW that offers classes, workshops and one-on-one coaching.

camera 1?

Camera 1 is a 5 week course that covers on-camera auditioning (commercials, film, TV), and the business of the acting business). Actors 14 years and up may sign up for this course. This is our most repeated class, since actors always need to hone their auditioning skills.

camera 2?

Camera 2 is a 5 week course that focuses on scene work and partnering. This course is for ages 16 years and up. Skills learned include: How to become a text detective, and building a world around the given circumstances. During the course, we will work on comedy and drama. Self-taping exercises are also a part of the Camera 2 curriculum.

camera 3?

Camera 3 is a 5 week course for actors who have taken Camera 1 & 2 and for ages 16 years and up. The focus is advanced scene study & performance, character building, and emotional preparation.
