Do you have acting for the camera classes?
Yes, we offer 5 week courses on Monday and Tuesday nights. These courses are offered quarterly for actors of all experience levels. We currently offer Camera 1, Camera 2 and Camera 3. Courses are $375 for 5 weeks and are 6:30pm-9:30pm at our studio in Georgetown (300 South Bennett Street, Seattle WA 98108). We also offer one-day workshops. Our current schedule can be found here.
What is Camera 1?
Camera 1 (“All About Auditioning”) is a 5 week course that covers all the venues an actor needs to master: From commercials, film, non-verbal and monologues. Actors 14 years and up may sign up for this course. This is our most repeated class, since actors always need to hone their auditioning skills. Camera 1 also covers the business of the business.
What is Camera 2?
Camera 2 (“Taking it to the Next Level”) is a 5 week course that focuses on scene work and partnering. This course is for ages 16 years and up. Skills learned include: How to become a text detective, and building a world around the given circumstances in every scene. As actors we are great at technically preparing for an audition (memorizing, choices and slates), but we need to go even further to stand out. This course teaches actors how to go even deeper. All courses currently available are available here.
