Brand New Course!

In this course, you will learn how to break down a scene, make creative & inspired choices about your character, work on scenes with partners, have those scenes filmed for review, learn how to self-tape, get a professional headshot taken, and more.

We are so excited that we have this new course to offer, which will help you begin (or continue) your acting journey on the right foot. We have offered Scene Study before, but this new, expanded course is built for students who have completed our Camera 1 course. If you have any questions about this course, please contact us.

More about the headshot: On the final day, we will have a “headshot party” where actors come to the studio for a fun, relaxed, one-look headshot with David Hogan of Seattle Actor Photos (this is our sister business). Each session will last 20 minutes, and you will receive one retouched headshot about one week after class ends (if not sooner!).

Is this course for you?

  • For students age 18+
  • For beginner-intermediate levels (all students must have some actor training or on-camera experience)
  • Perfect for students who have taken Camera 1
  • Great for those newer to self-taping
  • Essential for actors who need a professional headshot

Instructors

David S. Hogan and Angela DiMarco are both working actors. Aside from teaching, they also produce films and occasionally act as casting directors for independent film projects. They founded Mighty Tripod in 2012 to teach the craft of acting to PNW actors, and so they could create their own work.

Angela coined the phrase, “Don’t Wait, Create,” while producing for the Seattle 48 Hour Film Project, and she currently has a few films making their rounds on the festival circuit.

David is also a headshot photographer, and is often at the studio putting actors on tape for auditions and agency interviews.

Their passion for acting is matched by their commitment to helping uplift the talent and spirits of the PNW on-camera actor.
