CAMERA 1: Master the audition is our first course in a series of three.

Next up are: CAMERA 2: Scene Study & Character Development (intermediate), CAMERA 3: How to be Funny(er) on Camera, CAMERA 3: Dramatic Acting on Camera, and Camera 4: Advanced On-Camera Acting.

Discounted prices on 5-week courses are available to students who continue training at our studio.

Camera 1 offers a well rounded curriculum, giving students comfort and confidence in front of the camera, and setting them up for success in multiple venues (film, TV, commercials). This class will make sure each actor knows the industry standards for virtual auditioning and how to bring their auditions to the next level.

During the course, we will also look at the business of the acting business, covering things like: local talent agents (and how to submit for representation, if desired), actor headshots, resumes, casting directors, where to find auditions, and more. This is a great course for students new to acting in general, those new to on-camera acting specifically, and actors who have some experience, but are looking to take their craft deeper.

Auditions are one the most important parts of the actor’s job, and this class will prepare them for the ever-changing industry.

Students will work in every class, and their work is recorded and sent to them.

WHAT IS COVERED?

  • Audition techniques for commercials, film, and TV
  • Introduction to the PNW acting & filmmaking scene
  • Script analysis 101
  • Monologue for the camera
  • How to find a talent agent
  • and more

“They are good, good people.”

They know the craft.  They know the Northwest film scene.  They want to share and help actors get work and get better at their work.  What else is there to say?  Oh, yeah.  They are good, good people.

SARA GEIGER   //  Actor

THIS DYNAMIC COURSE IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF YOU:

  • Are new to the world of acting and auditioning
  • Looking to land more auditions
  • Need more confidence in your work
  • Are looking to add more tools to your actor craft
  • Are experience as a stage actor, but need to learn more about on-camera work
  • Are ready to learn more about how to get ahead in the PNW on-camera industry

FINAL THOUGHTS

The Industry is always changing, so it’s only natural that the market changes along with it. We teach students how to stay informed and current in the NW. Seattle is a smaller market, but NW actors are still competing with LA actors.

At Mighty Tripod Acting Studio, David and Angela stay connected to current Industry trends, and have built relationships with all of the area’s casting directors and talent agents. We are also producers and working actors, so we can share the wisdom gleaned from our experiences as we travel along the Actor’s Path.

We look forward to working with you!~ David and Angela
