The Mighty Mixer is back, and it’s something we hope to provide on a monthly basis to foster community, collaboration, and connection. Each mixer will feature a Topic, which David & Angela will present near the top of the event (6:30PM), and in 2025, we hope to host industry guests for Topics that fall outside of our expertise. We imagine this part of the Mixer will last about 30-45 minutes with Q&A and input from you, our guests. The Mighty Mixer is not only about Topics, of course, and there will be plenty of time for socializing, conversation, and more.

For an actor, the industry is sometimes challenging – Suspect looking casting breakdowns on Facebook (and elsewhere), unclear information on rates of pay and what is standard, confusion about what is permitted when working and communicating with other industry professionals, and more. This can leave an actor feeling conflicted and uncertain, which erodes confidence, something that all of us need when navigating though the biz.

November’s Mixer Topic is all about Advocacy, and what we want to focus on is empowering you when you are looking at breakdowns, submitting for self-tapes, talking to your agent, negotiating with producers, acquiring footage from projects you have acted in, and more. Angela and I will talk about industry norms from our experience, and provide plenty of tips and tricks so you know what to expect and how to ask (potentially) tough questions from time to time.
