The Mighty Mixer is a free networking event for current and prospective students of Mighty Tripod Acting Studio.
During January, to kick of the year with energy, we are going to talk about marketing materials (headshots, reels), casting directors, casting websites, and other items related to starting the year strong from an actor business perspective.
The Mighty Mixer is something we hope to provide on a monthly basis to foster community, collaboration, and connection. Each mixer will feature a Topic, which David & Angela will present near the top of the event (7PM), and in 2025, we hope to host industry guests for Topics that fall outside of our expertise. We imagine this part of the Mixer will last about 60 minutes, with time for Q&A and input from you, our guests. The Mighty Mixer is not only about Topics, of course, and there will be plenty of time for socializing, conversation, and more.
We will also plan on screening a short film that features or was produced/directed by a MTAS student. If you have a short film (15 minutes or less) that you want to screen at a mixer, please reach out to Angela DiMarco.
The Mighty Mixer provides a space for eating, socializing, dancing(?), networking, and more. We will make sure that the fridge is stocked with bubbly water, and we will also provide a few light bites. We encourage you to bring something tasty (food/beverage) to share, if you can.
We have limited space, so we need to cap things at 20. If we “sell out,” we hope to see you at the next Mixer. If you have any suggestions for future topics, please drop us a note.
