Who is Bootcamp For?
Intro to Acting is a 2-day bootcamp for students age 18+ who have not taken acting classes before, and for those who are beginners. This bootcamp was designed to introduce students to the craft of acting, including exercises to improve relaxation, focus, connection, and breathwork. In the bootcamp, students will also work with text (a monologue will be assigned), and improvisation games will be played.
This is a two-day weekend workshop, 1pm-5pm, Saturday/Sunday (Feb 1 & Feb 2).
Craft Foundations/Lessons Learned
The foundation of our “Method” at Mighty Tripod Acting Studio is rooted in in teachings of Stanislavski, Stellar Adler, Uta Hagen, and more. We also draw from years of industry and life experience, and pour all of that into all of our educational offerings at the studio.

You’ll learn to connect with your character, tap into authentic emotional responses, and react truthfully in the moment. These techniques encourage actors to be present and alive in their performance, giving them the tools to approach a role with flexibility and depth.
Classes are structured to give you a basic understanding of acting fundamentals, including vocal exercises, physical awareness, and how to analyze text.
