What This Workshop Is

From Co-Star to Callback is a practical, audition-focused workshop designed to help actors build confidence, clarity, and consistency in the audition room—from their very first Co-Star audition to the callback stage.

This class simulates the real casting process actors experience for film and television, with escalating expectations each week. You won’t just learn what to do—you’ll practice doing it, repeatedly, with guidance, redirection, and feedback.

All work is done live on Zoom, mirroring today’s virtual audition landscape.

• Actors preparing for TV auditions (Co-Star, Guest Star, Supporting roles)

No memorization tricks. No gimmicks. Just practical, industry-relevant training.

How the Workshop Works

Week 1 — Co-Star Auditions (Under-5 Sides)

You’ll receive short Co-Star (Under-5) sides the day of class, just like a real fast-turnaround audition.

Focus:

• Making strong choices quickly

• Simplicity and clarity

• Relationship and listening

• Avoiding overacting and overthinking

Actors will perform, receive casting-style direction, and re-read to practice adjusting in real time.

Week 2 — Pre-Read / Casting Director Session

You’ll receive a 2–3 page scene (supporting or leading role size) three days in advance.

Focus:

• Smart preparation without overworking

• Clear point of view and playable choices

• Starting strong and finishing strong

• Taking direction calmly and effectively

Actors will perform, receive targeted adjustments, and re-read to refine their work.

Week 3 — Callback / Producer Session

You’ll return with the same scene from Week 2, refined and adjusted based on feedback.

Focus:

• Consistency under pressure

• Refinement vs. reinvention

• Confidence and ease

• Adjusting without chasing approval

This session mirrors a callback or producer session, where subtlety, confidence, and trust in your work matter most.
