An Interview with Seattle 48 Hour Film Project

Mighty Tripod Productions

Angela and I had a great time being interviewed by Krk Nordenstrom, Seattle Producer for the Seattle 48 Hour Film Project. We have have been producing and acting in this amazing speed filmmaking competition since 2013, where we made Trauma for the first Seattle 48 Hour Horror Project. That film won Audience Favorite in our screening group and we took home Best Scream (nice work, Angela!). But, remember, it’s not about winning, it’s about growing in your craft!

This year we are reuniting with Ben M.F. Rapson who directed Karma Gettin’ for us, and the remainder our team is almost entirely in place, even though we are months away from filming. Overachievers? Nah. We just like to be prepared and inspire the cream of the crop to work with Team Mighty Tripod!

In our acting for the camera classes, especially the intro courses, we always encourage our students to get involved in the 48 – as actors or producers/Team Leaders. It’s a great way to dive in to a mighty challenge. And, if you do it well, you get great footage for your reel.

As Angela likes to say, #dontwaitcreate! We hope to see you at this summer’s 48!
