The Voice Empowered, Part 2: Dynamically Speaking
June 18 | 6PM–9PM
Mighty Tripod Acting Studio – Georgetown, Seattle
Instructor: Meg McLynn

Your voice is one of your most powerful storytelling tools—whether you’re on stage, in front of the camera, behind a microphone, or in the audition room. In this one-night workshop, you’ll learn how to harness the expressive power of your voice to elevate your performance and deepen your connection to the material.

Using a memorized monologue, you’ll explore how intentional shifts in pitch, volume, tempo, and inflection can add nuance, specificity, and emotional truth to your character. You’ll begin to understand how much of the “acting” can be accomplished through vocal choices alone—freeing your body, clarifying your intentions, and bringing your words to life.

Why is voice training essential for today’s actor?
In film and television, subtle vocal choices can make or break a performance—especially when the camera is close and the stakes are high. On stage, your voice must carry intention and emotion all the way to the back row. And in voiceover work, it’s all about the voice. A trained voice is agile, resilient, and expressive—it allows you to be heard, understood, and felt.

This workshop is open to ALL actors age 18+.

  • If you’ve previously taken The Voice Empowered at Mighty Tripod, this session will build on your foundation with fresh tools and new perspectives.

  • If you’re new to this work, you’ll leave with actionable techniques you can apply right away to your acting, auditioning, and rehearsal process.

Come ready to move, explore, and play. Your voice is more dynamic than you think—let’s unlock its full potential.
