DESCRIPTION:Camera 1 \n \n \n \n \n \n October 27\n\n	\n\n @ \n\n\n6:00 pm\n\n	\n\n \n	\n - \n\n	December 15\n\n	\n\n @ \n\n\n9:00 pm\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Countdown to End of Early Bird (Sales Launch: 09/28) \n \n \n \n \n Days Hours Minutes Seconds \n \n \n \n \n Early Bird Prices are the best way to save and last for one week. If you miss the window and you have taken a multi-week course with us before\, contact Angela for your Coupon Code. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n This class is designed to help actors build a solid\, practical foundation for on-camera work. It’s suitable for beginners who want clear structure\, as well as for actors looking to strengthen their fundamentals and perform with more consistency and confidence. Camera 1 is also a perfect class for actors who have experience with stage work\, but not on-camera work. We begin with the basics—relaxation and breathwork—to reduce tension and help you stay present in your body and voice. From there\, we move into character work and scene study\, focusing on how to make grounded\, playable choices rather than “performing” or forcing emotion. Acting isn’t about pretending; it’s about responding truthfully within imagined circumstances. You’ll learn how to approach material in a repeatable way so your work feels specific and alive\, whether you’re in class\, in an audition\, or on set. We focus on developing a process you can trust\, rather than quick tricks or shortcuts. In addition to craft\, we also cover the realities of the business—how the Pacific Northwest industry works\, what casting actually looks for\, and an introduction to self-taping. This class is about steady growth\, honest work\, and building skills that last. If you’re ready to train\, ask questions\, and do the work\, we’d love to have you. Sound like a good fit? Read on. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Camera 1 is an 8-week foundational course focused on teaching actors how to prepare scripts and characters for performance\, with an emphasis on on-camera auditions. The course covers a clear\, repeatable process for approaching material so actors can work with confidence and consistency. By the end of the course\, students will have a practical understanding of how to audition for film\, television\, and commercial projects. Camera 1 has been taught at Mighty Tripod Acting Studio for over 10 years and serves as the first course in our professional training series. Many past students have gone on to secure representation and work in feature films\, television\, commercials\, web series\, and other professional projects. While results vary\, the training provides a strong foundation for actors serious about developing their craft and understanding the industry. Attendance is important. There are no makeup sessions for missed classes\, and students are expected to arrive on time and prepared. If you are ill or traveling\, virtual observation may be available so you can still follow the work being done in class. Our classes are supportive\, focused\, and professional. We train actors to meet the demands of a competitive industry\, which requires discipline\, curiosity\, and consistent effort. Our goal is to help you build habits and skills that support long-term growth\, not just short-term results. After enrolling\, you will receive a confirmation ticket via email\, followed by additional class details approximately one week before the course begins. If you have any questions before enrolling\, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n LEVEL: This is a course for beginners\, but you will perform better if you have taken an intro to acting class or workshop.  AGES: 14+. SICK POLICY: If you are sick\, please do not come to class. We will bring you into the room via Zoom so you can watch\, learn\, and ask questions. LENGTH: Classes start on 10/27/2026. 8 weeks\, meeting once per week on TUESDAYS. MISSED SESSIONS: There are no make-ups or refunds for missed classes. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n This course is one of our favorites because auditioning is so important for actors. She has since built a long-standing professional career\, with over 100 credits on IMDb\, and continues to work consistently on stage and on screen. \nDavid’s path to acting was less direct. While studying at Seattle University\, he began as a singer in the university choir before performing in his first musical. This led to years of classical and Shakespearean training and performance\, eventually resulting—over a decade later—in signing with his first Seattle-based talent agent. And\, historically\, it has been where most students have started their acting journey with us\, which also makes it particularly memorable. If you are looking for a class that will challenge you\, but also support and nurture your growth\, then this will be a great fit for you. \n \n \n \n Other Course Takeaways \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n On-camera techniques\n \n \n \n \n Commercial audition techinque\n \n \n \n \n Film/TV audition technique\n \n \n \n \n The biz of the biz\n \n \n \n \n An intro to Self-Taping\n \n \n \n \n How to memorize\n \n \n \n \n Relaxation tips and tricks\n \n \n \n \n What Casting Directors are looking for\n \n \n \n \n The power of your breath\, and more!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Camera 1 Instructors: Angela & David \n \n \n \n Mighty Tripod Acting Studio was founded in 2012 by David S. Hogan and Angela DiMarco\, working actors actively producing\, directing\, casting\, and performing in the Pacific Northwest. \nAngela began her career as a child actor\, securing her first agent at age eight and booking her first feature film at ten. His journey informs his approach as an educator: practical\, patient\, and rooted in real-world experience. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n	Tickets\n\n \n	\n	\n The numbers below include tickets for this event already in your cart.
